I don’t know where to start.I took my uke here to have a pick up installed and they did a great job and fast turnaround (less than a week). I had to go back to have it adjusted a few weeks later and they were helpful and understanding all the way around. Treated me and my instrument with the most respect of any instrument shop I’ve been to, and I’ve been to lots. As a uke player and a women I find that I don’t get a lot of respect at guitar shops, which I have become so used to that I get a lot of good stories out of it. Not so at Retrofret, these guys know their stuff and really care about my experience in working with them.
This place is amazing. After buying a banjo online, I needed assistance getting it setup. I called this place without ever reading the yelp review and took my beginner banjo to get service. The staff was extremely nice. After I got my repair started, I wandered over to their huge collection of banjos and they let me play whatever I wanted. I can’t believe there is a place this awesome in Brooklyn.
I love this place. I could stay in there for hours. I’ve had 2 guitar repairs done and both times it was a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and both times the job was done for less then the original estimate and done when they said it would.
